Our 4 favorite shopping streets in Florence

Via de' Tornabuoni

This is THE most famous street in Florence. It is the home of Salvatore Ferragamo's first property. It houses a full women's and men's department in Palazzo Spini Feroni right across Ponte Santa Trinità. Downstairs is Ferragamo's luxurious museum where you can take an elusive visit back to his early beginnings in Naples.

Via de' Tornabuoni is also home to Gucci, Emilio Pucci, Versace, Pomellato, Roberto Cavalli, Hermes, Tiffany & Co, and Cartier to name a few. It's the most elegant street in town, so when you go, be on the look out for some of Florence's most fashionable locals.

Via dei Calzaiuoli

Trailing from Piazza del Duomo to Piazza della Signoria, Via dei Calzaiuoli is a popular street filled with high-end to everyday modern stores. You'll find ultra luxury from Chanel to department store shopping at Coin. Sisley is a more middle-of-the road fashion option and there's also a Disney store for the kids. Furla, a famous Italian brand, is a prime choice for any of you purse lovers! Go in, browse, and have fun!

Via del Corso

The Via del Corso has almost every product you can imagine. It's lined with small boutiques that suit all different budgets so don't be afraid to explore.

We recommend that you wander down Via del Corso from Piazza della Repubblica. You'll be surrounded by locals running errands on their bikes and an astounding array of boutiques representing both local and national brands.

A well-known artisan boutique is Piero Puliti which specializes in men's shirts and ties. All items are made of the finest Italian materials and designed by Piero exclusively for this shop. Keep an eye out for more one-of-a-kind stores like this one!

San Lorenzo Market

Welcome to the bargain hunter's paradise! The San Lorenzo market fills the streets adjoining Piazza San Lorenzo and is a quick skip from Piazza del Duomo, so it's perfectly located.

You can find yourself a fine leather jacket for about €100 and while you're at it, throw in a leather wallet for €15, scarf for €5 and Tuscan plates for €10. Aside from treating yourself this is also the perfect place to buy souvenirs from Florence! From leather belts to purses and hats, the varieties and options are endless.

Nota Bene: To get the best bargains don't forget that you can shop around for what you want and many stalls will carry similar goods; there's no need to buy from the first stand you see. Keep in mind that the market opens from 9am to 7pm from Tuesday to Saturday.

Via Santo Spirito

Time for more artisanal boutiques! Via Santo Spirito lies between Borgo San Jacopo and Borgo San Frediano on the other side of the Arno River in one of our favorite neighborhoods in Florence: Oltrarno. (Even if you aren't shopping you should really visit this quarter. Check out our guide to Oltrarno for more details) These three connecting streets make up one amazing street, perfect for window shopping, exploring and purchasing a priceless piece of Florence to take back home with you.

Since you're already in the neighborhood, don't forget to also check out our four favorite artisanal boutiques in Oltrarno!Inserisci qui il tuo testo...
